Before you start, position your Kawasaki ER-6n upright and run the engine for a few minutes. Begin by placing a container under the oil sump, then unscrew and remove the lower oil drain bolt. This will allow all the engine oil to drain out. Once all the oil has drained, re-screw the drain bolt. Next, unscrew and remove the upper filler cap. At this point, you can add the new engine oil, and finally, re-screw the filler cap to complete the change.
