To replace the air filter on a Kawasaki Z1000, you need to loosen the screws securing the seat so that it can be completely removed from its housing. Once the seat is freed, you can detach the side panels located just below the fuel tank, making their securing screws visible. By unscrewing all these screws and disconnecting the connectors from the tank, you will be able to remove the tank and access the underlying filter box. The filter can then be removed and replaced, along with reassembling all other components.
