How to Tighten the Clutch Cable on the Kia Picanto

In this video, we will see how to tighten the clutch cable on the Kia Picanto: the clutch cable is connected to the gear lever, and the adjuster is often located on the arm of the clutch lever; the clutch pedal should have a play of about 5/10 mm before you feel resistance: if it is too soft, the clutch will slip. As we see in the video, loosen the locking nut, turn the threaded adjuster to shorten (tighten) or lengthen (loosen) the cable; then hold the adjuster in place and tighten the locking nut. The adjustment should then be checked by pressing the pedal several times and ensuring that the clutch engages smoothly; the pedal should neither be too hard nor too soft, and the clutch should not slip when accelerating in gear.
