Kia Carnival: How to Fit Side Steps DIY

Model: Kia Carnival MK 4, KA4 - Years 2021-2026

On the Kia Carnival, prepare the kit components (side steps, support brackets, and bolts) and work on a flat surface. From the front wheel arch, remove the clips from the trim and free the lower edge of the side skirt; repeat the operation at the rear and detach the end of the side skirt, as shown in the video. Under the body, locate the pre-drilled holes and insert the bracket screws with washers into the slots, hand-tightening them to allow for position adjustment. Present the brackets on the screws, use the slots for alignment, and ensure all slots are occupied. Position the side step, engage it in the upper guide clips, check the distance from the door edge, and adjust the brackets until the side step is parallel to the side. When alignment is correct, securely tighten the bracket nuts and reattach the wheel arch trims. Repeat on the opposite side and check the stability of the side step and the proper closure of the Kia Carnival doors.
