Replacing the thermostat assembly on a Kia Rio

In this guide, we will see the instructions for removing and replacing the thermostat assembly on a Kia Rio. First, lift the vehicle and start by disconnecting the engine coolant hose, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; then disconnect the upper hose to access the thermostat assembly, unscrewing its screws and disconnecting the hoses to remove it. At this point, install the new original thermostat, securing it properly; connect it and finally top up with the new antifreeze!
