Replacing the thermostat on a Kia Picanto requires specific steps. Here’s a general guide that may help you. Open the bonnet of your Kia Picanto to access the engine.

Locate the thermostat. It is usually found near the engine and has a coolant passage hose connected.

Remove the bolts securing the two front headlights and the front grille to access the front of the engine. Loosen the retaining ring and remove the coolant passage hose to expose the thermostat.

Extract the thermostat from its housing. Clean the contact surface and apply gasket sealant if necessary.

Install the new thermostat and reapply the bolts to secure it in place. Reconnect the coolant hose and ensure it is tightly fitted.

Reassemble the front grille and headlights. Start the engine and check for any leaks.
