Replacing the Key Battery on a Kia Sportage

Is the remote key for the Kia Sportage not working anymore? Here's how to change the battery inside. Take the remote and press the release button of the metal key. Once the key is extracted, use a screwdriver to pry open the key cover (in the space where the key fits). Remove the cover and take out the battery from inside (get a new one of the same size and voltage). Install the battery in its holder within the cover. Check the proper functioning of the remote by pressing the rubber buttons.
