If an external satellite navigator is used in the car, of those that usually attach to the windshield or dashboard with its support, it is necessary to power it through the special cable to be connected to the cigarette lighter socket: you will then find yourself with a cable that hangs along the dashboard and which, in addition to being unsightly, can also be uncomfortable. It is therefore possible to consider installing an auxiliary socket to power the navigator by hiding it in the dashboard; then get a cigarette lighter type power socket, apply an eyelet to the ground cable and a fuse holder to the positive; then remove the gasket along the driver's door pillar and the dashboard side plug to access the fuse holder; then connect the eyelet to the bodywork and the positive to a fuse perhaps powered by the +15 sub panel; then connect the cable that powers the navigator to the new power socket, masking the wires in the dashboard.
