How to open the locked trunk hatch in the KIA Niro?

In the KIA Niro, it may happen that the trunk hatch gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, we can perform the emergency opening following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, unlock the locks using the remote control button, then open the rear doors and, by operating the indicated lever, lower the backrest of the sofa. Then go inside the trunk, locate the slot near the lock and manually operate it using the metal key. The trunk hatch will now be free to open.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
