In the KIA Niro, it may happen that the fuel door gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In this case, we can still perform the emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, we open the trunk door, then we locate the small panel on the left wall and remove it by unlocking the clip. Next, we grab the indicated cord and pull it towards us, in order to manually unlock the fuel door.

At this point, it will be possible to refuel.
