In order to replace the front brake pads of the KTM XCW 300, you need to loosen the screws that secure the brake caliper to its housing. Once the caliper is loosened, you can detach it from the disc and remove the pin that holds the pads in the caliper. At this point, you can remove the old pads and insert the new ones. You can then secure them with the appropriate pin so that the caliper can be repositioned on the disc and subsequently secured with the screws that were previously removed.
