This guide explains how to replace the engine oil and oil filter on a KTM Duke 200. Obtain 2 litres of Motul 7100 SAE 10W40 oil and an HIFLO HF155 oil filter. Position the bike on its side stand. Start the engine, allow it to reach temperature, and then switch off. Place a container for the used oil underneath the engine. Use a ratchet and a 14mm socket to remove the oil drain plug located at the bottom of the engine casing, on the left side. Use pliers to extract the oil filter cartridge. Allow the oil to drain and clean the drain plug and filter cartridge thoroughly. Refit the drain plug. Use a ratchet and a 10mm socket to remove the three side screws from the oil filter cover located on the left side of the engine, right side of the casing. Remove the filter cartridge and replace it with the new one. Open the oil filler cap located on the left side of the engine casing and pour in oil according to the level inspection hole. Start the engine for one minute and switch off. Check the oil level.
