Model: Ktm 450 Exc

It is recommended to use 10W50 oil for this engine. Position the motorcycle upright on a centre stand and check the oil level using the sight glass. Remove the bash plate and start the engine for a couple of minutes to warm the oil. Remove the oil cap, unscrew the lower filter and the side filter, cleaning them well with WD40 if you do not intend to replace them. Remove the two upper filters, long and short, and clean these as well. Refit the lower and side filters, tightening to 10 Nm and 15 Nm respectively. Now refit the upper filters, lubricating the O-rings and tightening to 6 Nm.
