In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the battery in the KTM 1290 Super Duke R, an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, make sure that the key is not inserted, then open the passenger seat, locate the indicated cord, and pull it towards us to unlock the driver's seat. Next, remove the block containing the control unit, unscrew the bolt of the support bracket with a Torx T30 key, and starting from the negative terminal, disconnect both terminals. At this point, we can remove the battery from the housing, insert the replacement, and follow the reverse procedure.

Finally we pour in the new engine oil, of the right type, checking the oil level!
