This video explains how the anti-theft system of the KTM 1290, called ARA (anti Relay Attack), works: press the ignition button, then using the joystick on the left side, press the button on the right to enter the menu. Scroll down using the "down" button until you reach the "settings" option. Enter with the right button, and scroll down again until you reach "ARA". Switch it to "on", and the system is active. What does it do? Turn off the motorcycle, and within 5 minutes it will close the radio communication between the remote control and the control unit, making the vehicle inaccessible to intruders; essentially, it won't start just by pressing the "engine" button. It must be activated with the remote, like a car.
