The engine of the Kymco AK 550 can be dismantled by loosening the bolts that secure the block to its housing, allowing it to be completely removed after also disconnecting the exhaust and connectors attached to it. Once the engine block has been extracted, you can proceed by unscrewing the bolts that hold the cylinder and the valve cover, removing them to access the piston inside. The piston will need to be detached from its connecting rod, so that you can then access the further internal components that need to be replaced with new ones.
