In today's tutorial, we will see how to remove and replace the front brake pads on a Kymco Downtown 300i scooter, in simple steps. First, position the scooter on the centre stand and remove the exhaust silencer by unscrewing all the fixing bolts using a socket spanner; once removed, unscrew the bolts securing the brake caliper to remove it, as shown in the video. At this point, retract the piston by levering and remove the old pads; clean the caliper of carbon residue and refit the new brake pads!
