In this guide, you will learn how to perform routine maintenance by replacing the engine oil and oil filter on a Kymco AK 550 scooter. First, position the scooter on the centre stand and unscrew the screws of the side plastic fairings to remove them; then unscrew the oil drain bolt using a socket spanner, allowing the oil to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

Next, remove the oil filter by unscrewing it with the appropriate tool, and replace it with a new one; finally, pour in the new oil with the correct viscosity!
