Let’s see what happens when the engine light comes on in this Lancia Ypsilon with a Landi Renzo GPL system. The engine light only illuminates when the vehicle is running on GPL, and when it runs on petrol, the light turns off immediately.

The car operates, but the ECU detects a rich mixture error (excess fuel). The error detected by the diagnosis is: "mixture title and mixture adaptation". According to the YouTuber, in almost all cases, on Lancia Ypsilon and similar engines with the Landi Renzo GPL system, the issue is caused by the GPL injectors delivering too much GPL; the lambda sensor detects an enrichment, and the ECU turns on the light.

The solution is to replace the injectors and gas filters. After this replacement, the problem is resolved.
