How to Adjust the Handbrake on the Lancia Ypsilon

The handbrake activation cable may stretch over time, causing the lever to have a much longer travel, up to five or six clicks; ideally, the lever should have a travel of three or four clicks at most. You can adjust the handbrake lever travel directly from inside the cabin; first, remove the interior trim located at the back of the centre tunnel cover and use a 10 mm socket spanner to tighten the adjustment nut.
