How to Replace the Timing Chain on a Range Rover Evoque?

Model: Land Rover Evoque L551, MK 2 - Years 2018-2026

First, remove the engine from the vehicle and then disconnect the transmission. Proceed to remove the timing covers and replace the balance shafts. To do this, disassemble the crankshaft pulley and the front timing cover, then you can slide out the balance shafts and replace them with new ones. Only at this point can you insert the new timing chain. During the process, assess whether it is necessary to replace or repair the tensioner as well. Finally, ensure everything is perfectly aligned to avoid damaging the engine.
