Replacement of Upper Suspension Wishbone

Model: Lexus GS - Years 1997-2004

The upper wishbone of the front suspension consists of a ball joint connected to an extension of the hub support and two bushes with a silent block connected to the body, near the shock absorber. To replace it, lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the front wheel. Extract the safety pin that secures the nut of the ball joint and unscrew it to remove the ball joint from its housing. Then, unscrew the fixing bolts of the other two bushes and remove the wishbone from its housing to insert the new one and proceed in reverse for the installation.
