To access the spare tire on the Lexus GX, use the tools found in the tire replacement kit located in the trunk. First, remove the small protective panel located just above the threshold of the rear hatch: underneath this panel, you will find a screw that needs to be loosened with the appropriate wrench included in the tire replacement kit. By unscrewing the screw, the spare tire will lower from the vehicle's lower floor where it is stored and can be used to replace one of the existing tires.
