Let's see how quickly a Maxus eDeliver van defrosts in mid-winter: as shown in the video, the frost is intense (-4°C inside the cabin), but the electric van can defrost the windscreen and heat the cabin very quickly, thanks to its instant electric heating. Within 1 minute, the air coming from the vents is already warm, and the ice on the windscreen starts to break; in 2 minutes, the windscreen is already defrosted enough to be cleared for safe driving. In 3 minutes, the internal temperature of the cabin rises from -4 to +10°C: the windscreen is completely clear. Unlike a combustion vehicle that must wait for the engine to warm up, the electric heater provides immediate heat, so there is no need to scrape the ice manually. However, the main disadvantage is the energy consumption: using the electric heater reduces the vehicle's range by about 15-20% during winter.
