How to Replace Spark Plugs in Your Car

Model: Mazda Rx 8 MK 1 - Years 2003-2012
Part: Spark plugs

The spark plug is located at the heart of each cylinder and provides the spark that ignites the air-fuel mixture. It is therefore an essential component of the ignition system. Faulty spark plugs can cause the engine to lack power, produce excessive emissions, and lead to increased fuel consumption. To change the spark plugs, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and wait for the engine to cool before removing them. To unscrew them, grip the spark plugs by the rubber cap with your fingers or use long-nose pliers if necessary. It is advisable to mark each spark plug lead and one corresponding to the cylinder to know how they were connected, avoiding mistakes when installing the new ones.
