Replacing Spark Plugs and Leads

Model: Mazda Rx 8 MK 1 - Years 2003-2012

To access the ignition coils, you need to remove the air filter housing (it is simply clipped onto rubber supports. Disconnect the connectors and hoses attached to it) and the duct that connects the filter to the throttle body. Access to the spark plugs is provided through the wheel arch: lift the vehicle on the side, remove the left front wheel and the plastic cover for protection. At this point, disconnect the leads and unscrew the spark plugs to replace them (perform the operation with the engine cold): do this one at a time to avoid mixing up the leads.
