If the tyre pressure warning light does not turn off on a Mazda CX-5, there are two scenarios: if the vehicle has a specific button for the TPMS, the system is indirect; there are no sensors on the wheels, but it uses the ABS sensors to detect if a wheel is spinning differently. Inflate all tyres to the recommended pressure, turn on the ignition, and hold the TPMS button until the light turns off. On newer models, there are direct sensors inside each wheel. Check the tyre pressures, then turn on the ignition and press the button twice: wait 10 seconds and then turn off the ignition. Wait 15 minutes, then start the engine and drive for 10 minutes at a speed above 25 mph to allow the sensors to recalibrate.
