How to change the front brake discs and brake pads of the Mazda Cx-5
Model: Mazda CX-5
MK 1, KE
- Years 2012-2017
To change the brake pads and brake discs we operate like this: we start by raising the car, remove the wheel, with a 14mm wrench we remove the rear bolts from the upper plate of the pads, keeping it suspended, with a small screwdriver a cut we pry to remove the pads, with a socket wrench we remove the plate that holds the pads. We put an 8mm bolt on the hole on the disc and tighten it until the disc moves, with sandpaper we remove the rust, we put some metal paste, we press the brake piston with a caliper to do it come back flush. We take the new disc, we put it in the hub, we put a nut to hold the disc in position, with a wire brush we clean the bracket and its components, we put some grease on both the bracket and on the components that compose it, we put the bracket back on the disc by screwing the bolts, we put the pads spreading some paste for pads on the end of the pads and put them back; we also screw the upper part of the caliper again, put the wheel back on and lower the car. Finally we can press the brake until it is pressed in the same way it was pressed before the gearbox and we check the brake fluid.

Replacing the Engine Battery
As this is a generic operation for all types of vehicles, there is no need to specify the make or model. Begin by unscrewing the nut of the clamp located at the base of the battery; loosen the nuts of the terminals on both poles, first removing the positive pole (be careful not to touch metal parts with the terminals). Once the battery is extracted, replace it with one of similar specifications (consult the user manual) and reposition it in its housing, reconnect the terminals starting with the positive to avoid sparks, and tighten the terminal nuts to secure them. The final step is to reapply the clamp and tighten the retaining nut at the base of the battery. by ScegliAuto More videos
