On the Mazda 3, the fuel flap may become stuck, possibly due to a problem with the release button or the lock actuator. In such cases, perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, unlock the locks using the remote control, then open the boot and detach the left side cover of the compartment. Next, grasp the actuator cord and pull it towards you to unlock the flap.

At this point, you can refuel and repair the faulty component.
