The reset operation of the air conditioning system installed on the Mercedes E-Class involves turning on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot: in this way, once the instrument panel is turned on, it will be possible to press and hold down the REST and 0 buttons located on the central dashboard panel.
