Removing the Timing Belt from a Mercedes 190

Follow this guide for the removal and replacement of the timing belt on a Mercedes 190. Open the bonnet and secure it. Using a socket, remove the fan assembly with the associated circulation hoses, and disconnect the power wiring with pliers. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket, unscrew the securing bolt of the tensioner pulley and remove the water pump. Install the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket. Finally, refit the fan assembly with the securing pins.
