In this video we can see how to replace the serpentine belt of a Mercedes Vito W639: the first thing we need to do is take a picture to remember how the belt is inserted into the various pulleys, so we can put it back in the same way. This is if we do not have an explanatory drawing to help us with the repositioning. To release the tension of the belt, it is necessary to release the hex nut located at the bottom. Once the belt is released from that, it will come off the entire component. It is advisable to compare the two belts, the new and the old one, to check that they are the same. Putting it back in place is not a difficult job, it is just complicated, because the working space is limited and in a vertical position: it may be useful to remove the tube that crosses our way, but this would also mean replacing the water pump.
