How to remove the center console of the Mercedes SLK R170

Let's see how to remove the central console of the Mercedes SLK R170: with a plastic spatula, lever under the armrest cover near the gear/handbrake; lift gently to release the clips. Unscrew the front screws; there are two torx screws, one on each side, above the removed armrest covers. Two rear screws will be hidden under the rear part of the console. Now disconnect the mechanical connections, removing the yellow vacuum tube: just pull it gently to release it. There are also electrical connectors for the mirrors, the cigarette lighter, and any other connected accessories. Now lift the rear part of the console to release the remaining clips (the handbrake must be lifted to facilitate the operation). The clips break easily, so, as recommended in the video, to repair the damaged parts it is advisable to use a hot glue gun. This operation is useful if you want to replace the cigarette lighter, access the handbrake or electrical cables; if you want to install accessories or if you want to do cleaning operations.

How to change the time on a Toyota Yaris
