How to reset the instrument cluster on a Mercedes Class B W245 to factory settings

Let's see how to reset the instrument cluster of a Mercedes Classe B W245 to factory settings. We use the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel (the ones with the arrows and "ok"), then we repeatedly press the "up" and "down" buttons to scroll through the options on the instrument cluster until we reach "settings"; we hold down the "ok" button for about 3 seconds. At this point, a confirmation request will appear on the display. Press the "ok" button again once to confirm the reset to factory settings. The service indicator settings, display configurations, alerts and personalized reminders, and other preferences displayed on the instrument cluster will be reset.
