Replacing the steering wheel buttons on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class model W245 is a very simple and quick task to perform independently. The first step is to insert a flat tool into the side hole of the steering wheel to push the internal lever and release the central part of the steering wheel where the horn and airbag are located.

The second step is to unscrew the two screws located at the top sides of the steering wheel to remove the button panels. The third step is to unscrew the four screws on the button panels to detach the microchip from the keypad.

The fourth step is to insert a new keypad and close the button panel. The fifth step is to insert the new button panel and reattach the central part to the steering wheel.
