Let's see how to reset the service light after an oil change on a Mercedes E-Class W213: Get in the car and turn on the ignition. Press and hold the "home" button (the center button on the touchpad) for about 5 seconds to bring up the main menu. From here, follow the on-screen instructions: press the "start" button a second time, return to the main menu with the "back" button, scroll and select "full service" and confirm. You will be asked for the type of oil you used; confirm and when asked "service carried out?" select "yes". Turn off the car and restart it to confirm that the light has turned off.
