The Lane Assist feature in Mercedes vehicles helps the driver maintain the correct trajectory in the lane while driving. It subtly corrects the steering direction and provides an audible alert when the sensors detect abnormal steering or lane departure. This function can be deactivated as follows: press Settings on the touchscreen display and then press the Lane Assist icon, which will darken. Turn off and then on the ignition to complete the operation.
