Operation: How to remove the seats on Mercedes SLK

Prerequisite: Reverse TORX keys are required for removal. It is not recommended to try to remove the screws with Allen sockets because the heads of the pins could be damaged. You will also need a size 17 open or socket wrench and a small screwdriver. Procedure: slide the seat completely back and remove the two front pins of the skids. Then slide the seat fully forward and remove the two rear pins of the skids. This phase is very delicate because the seat is no longer firmly locked and tends to move / fall. Maximum attention, therefore, to safety. Tilt the seat back forwards and carefully disconnect the airbag / seat heating plugs. The cables and connectors are very fragile. Pull the seat out of the vehicle. For ease of operation, remove the seat belt when the seat is already out of the vehicle. With a screwdriver remove the plastic cap and unscrew the pin with a 17 key.
