Changing the battery on a Mercedes CLS? Let’s look at the replacement from inside the boot. Open the boot and remove the fabric/plastic cover (located in the boot). Using a socket or spanner, undo the securing bolts of the battery terminals (remove the two opposite poles) and disconnect them from the battery (take out the old battery). Install the new battery in the boot and reconnect the previously disconnected terminals. Check and test its proper functioning. Start the vehicle and observe the operation of the starter motor.
