Want to remove the instrument cluster from a Mercedes CLK? Here's how to take out the piece from the Mercedes dashboard. Use hook levers to detach and pull out the instrument cluster. Carefully unclip the instrument cluster cover (without breaking the plastic clips) and pull it away from the dashboard. Then, disconnect the power connectors of the instrument cluster. After removing the instrument cluster from the dashboard, prepare to install a new piece or reassemble the same one (repair the instrument cluster if necessary). Secure the instrument cluster in the dashboard: push it in until fully secured.
