Today we will see the necessary instructions to disassemble and replace the fuel pump or the float pump on the Mercedes Benz CLS 500, first series. First we open the left rear door and remove the sofa on the same side, lifting it upwards; after which we remove the protective cover to access the floating pump. At this point we disconnect the electrical connector of the fuel level sensor and disconnect the petrol pipe; we just have to unscrew the ring nut with the special key to extract the pump and replace it with the new one!
