Where to Find and How to Replace the Auxiliary Battery on a Mercedes Benz W211 E-Class

This guide shows how to replace the auxiliary battery on a Mercedes Benz W211 E-Class. The battery is located inside the engine compartment, on the left side, under the cabin air filter. Access the battery by unscrewing the retaining bolt of the filter and removing it from its position. After lifting the protective clip on the negative terminal, disconnect it with a 10mm wrench and secure it to prevent contact with the battery. Perform the same operation on the positive terminal. Using a 10mm wrench, unscrew the retaining bolt of the battery anchor plate, lift it, and remove the old battery. Clean the compartment and electrical contacts of any deposits. Installing the new auxiliary battery follows the same steps as removal, but in reverse.
