Despite what you might think, completely removing the stock radio from your Mercedes SL R230 is a maintenance task that you can easily perform on your own. Just follow the instructions below. First, turn off the car completely. Next, remove all the plastic panels covering the perimeter of the central dashboard area. After that, also remove the wood panel. Unscrew the screws holding the radio in place, and finally, pull the radio towards you. Disconnect the electrical connector, and you're done.
