Reset the Service Light on Mercedes Benz GLC

Resetting the service light on a Mercedes Benz GLC is an easy DIY task that doesn't require special tools. First, insert the key and turn it to step 1 without starting the car, then scroll through the menu until you see the trip meter. Now, simultaneously press the OK button and the PHONE button on the steering wheel for about three seconds. The vehicle menu will appear on the display, and from the arrows on the left side of the steering wheel, scroll down to the ASSYST PLUS option and confirm by pressing OK. The car will now prompt you to turn the key to start it; turn it but do not press the button to start the car. You will now see the number of miles since the last service on the screen. Press OK, then scroll to the FULL SERVICE option in the next menu and press OK. Confirming will bring up a new window with active service points; scroll down with the arrow and press 'Confirm service'. It will now ask you to select the type of engine oil you used; confirm the correct grade and press OK. Finally, confirm the service reset by pressing OK, and a message will appear on the screen indicating the operation is complete, and the light will turn off.
