Replacing the Climate Control Display Backlight Bulb

Model: Mercedes Classe C - Years 1983-1993
Part: Air conditioner

If the climate control display does not light up when you turn on the headlights, the backlight bulb may be damaged. To replace it, detach the console using the appropriate extraction keys inserted into the slots at the base of the console, with the notches facing inward. Once the console is detached, pull it out from its position and access the rear bulb holder. Rotate it using needle-nose pliers and remove it to replace the bulb (T10 base). Reposition the bulb holder, ensure it functions correctly, and reattach the console in its place.
