In this video tutorial, see how to maintain the semi-automatic transmission on a Mercedes A-Class 200 CDI. Lift the hood and secure it with the appropriate prop rod. Remove the level gauge cap; use an automatic transmission cleaner, part number BA01038, for cleaning the automatic transmission. Once all the cleaner is added, replace the cap and take the vehicle for a test drive to allow the "Blue" cleaning additive to work effectively. Remove the underbody protection cover to access the transmission oil pan. Remove the filters and replace them with new ones, then top off with new oil, and close the pan. Once the pan is reinstalled, tighten everything. At this point, top off the transmission oil (5 quarts of oil) along with the additive.
