To adjust the parking brake on a Mercedes C-Class, lift the vehicle so that the left rear wheel can be removed by loosening the mounting bolts. Once the wheel is removed, also remove the corresponding brake rotor and caliper to access the underlying components. Here, you will find the adjustment mechanism for the parking brake: tightening it will make the parking brake firmer and reduce its travel; conversely, loosening it will increase its travel and make it softer than before.
