How to Replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on a Mercedes E-Class?

Part: Engine coolant temperature sensor

To replace the coolant temperature sensor on the Mercedes E-Class, open the hood to access the components inside the engine bay: here you can detach the upper cover and also disconnect the intake hose. This will provide access to the side of the engine block, where the coolant temperature sensor is connected: by loosening the bolt that secures it in place, you can disconnect it from its wire and insert the new replacement part. After installation, reattach all other components.
