Replacing the temperature sensor and coolant thermostat on the Mercedes W124 is very simple, thanks to our brief guide. Start by opening the hood and removing the air intake hose. Next, drain the coolant from the engine and clean the fasteners of the thermostat housing. Once clean, you can remove the thermostat along with the housing. Now, install a new thermostat and a new coolant sensor, following the reverse procedure. Finally, add coolant to the reservoir.
