Hello, today you will replace the thermostat on your Mercedes E-Class. Start by opening the front hood.

Next, drain the cooling system by removing the drain plug. After that, remove the alternator by loosening the mounting bolts and pulling it out of its housing.

This will give you access to the thermostat cover. Now, remove the mounting bolts, then disconnect the various hoses and the electrical connector.

At this point, pull the thermostat out of the engine compartment, and you will have completed the disassembly. To install the new thermostat on your Mercedes E-Class, repeat this procedure in reverse, and you will have finished the replacement.
